Crisis accommodation

Within the program, we offer short-term crisis accommodations for individuals who are facing severe housing crises and need a place to sleep. You can participate in crisis accommodation if you are between 18 and 30 years old. The stay typically lasts for 14 days, during which we actively work together to find longer-term solutions for your housing situation.

A small independent room in a townhouse
Ljubljana, Bežigrad

Come, you can take a break from the stressful situation you’ve likely found yourself in and gather some new strength for the future. We will assist you to the best of our abilities without getting involved in your life more than you desire.

  • The specifics of the location:
      • A townhouse near Bežigrad, close to the high school and healthcare center.
      • Buses 6,7,8,11,19,20,22 (there may be more).
      • Nearby, there are banks, a post office, several stores, a library, some universities, a healthcare center, and a social services center.
      • Despite being very close to the city, the location is quite peaceful.
  • The specifics of the accommodation:
    • The room is small but has all the essential amenities: a bed, a writing desk, a wardrobe, internet access. The adjacent room (where my granddaughters like to play and is also accessible to guests) has a balcony where smoking is allowed. There is space for a bicycle in the garage.
  • Description of the hosts:
    • We are an older couple, both 70 years old, retired, so we spend a lot of time at home. We tend to wake up late in the morning and go to bed late in the evening, so late arrivals (except very late ones) are not a problem.
    • In the afternoon, our granddaughters often visit us, so it can get lively during those times. Otherwise, the house is quite peaceful.
    • I enjoy board games, while my husband prefers watching TV.
    • I’m happy to have any conversation, but I never push people into it.

Ptuj

We are quite a unique family in our own way. My husband is retired, and even when he’s at home in Ptuj, he’s more of an outdoorsy person (he enjoys cycling and working with wood, often spending time at a friend’s place with more space than our apartment). I go to work, so I’m not at home much. Our daughter is occupied with her own commitments and doesn’t stay regularly in the apartment.

  • The specifics of the location:
      • Ptuj.
      • Ptuj is a small town where you can walk to all distances on foot. We also have a city bus that is free and operates at specific hours within the town and its surroundings (e.g., to Ptuj Spa…).
      • We have a Tuš and Mercator store in close proximity, and the others are about a 5-minute walk away. We also have a high school center and a gymnasium, where some higher education programs are conducted, approximately 1.5 km from our apartment.
      • Nearby, there is a park with a trim track and outdoor fitness equipment, as well as plenty of opportunities for walking and cycling (Ptuj Lake…).
  • The specifics of the accommodation:
    • A private room with a bed and wardrobe on the upper floor of the apartment. The apartment is occupied by one person permanently and occasionally by three people (my husband spends half the year at sea). There is also a cat in the apartment, and occasionally a dog.
  • Description of the hosts:
    • We respect personal space and boundaries of others. We are available for conversation. We enjoy spending time in nature (walks, cycling, swimming…)
  • A message to future accommodation users:
    We are quite a unique family in our own way. At our place, it’s quite dynamic and fluid with a bunch of animals. We live in a community-oriented manner, where we respect the needs and autonomy of each individual, while also ensuring that the living environment is pleasant for all permanent and temporary members of the community.

    • Public transportation is a 5-minute walk away.
    • Right around the corner, there’s a small Mercator store, and the university and vocational school are about a 10-minute walk away.

I live with my girlfriend, both of us are around 30 years old. We have the company of two lovely rabbits and a dog (and perhaps an alpaca in the future! :)). During the day, we’re both at work, but in the afternoons, evenings, and weekends, we enjoy going for walks, taking trips, cooking and eating, watching series, and spending time with friends and family.

    • There are 2 people in the household.
    • We also have a super-friendly dog.
    • We have a balcony where smoking is allowed.

Krško, Videm

A queer couple (ftm and non-binary person) approaching their thirties. The cats have less respect for personal space than we do, but there won’t be any issues with our adorable dog. Since we are vegans, it’s important to us that the person refrains from consuming animal products at home during their stay.

    • The living room has two entrances, one with a door, and the other entrance can be fitted with curtains for added privacy as needed, otherwise it’s partially open.
    • There’s a 160×200 bed in the living room.
